Terms and Conditions for Recording
By purchasing recording work, you are acknowledging that you have read and agree to the following terms and conditions:
50% OF TOTAL PAYMENT FOR RECORDING WORK MUST BE GIVEN UP-FRONT BEFORE I BEGIN WORK ON YOUR PROJECT. Once your first 50% payment clears, I will begin working on your project at your booked date and time. WHEN PROJECT IS COMPLETED, I WILL SEND YOU A LINK TO LISTEN TO MY PARTS, OR A ROUGH MIX OF MY PARTS ON YOUR SONG (IF ADDING MY PARTS TO AN EXISTING SONG). AFTER YOU APPROVE MY PARTS, I WILL SEND YOU AN INVOICE FOR YOUR FINAL 50% PAYMENT. ONCE THIS CLEARS, I WILL THEN SEND PROFESSIONAL QUALITY AUDIO FILES OF MY RECORDED PARTS. CLIENT MUST PAY THE REMAINING 50% OF TOTAL PAYMENT BEFORE RECEIVING FINAL AUDIO FILES. Why does it work this way? It both ensures that you respect my time and I respect yours.
If for some reason your requested guitar, bass, or mandolin part is beyond my capabilities (which is rare), I will kindly let you know, and I’ll cancel your booking and refund you. I will do my best to recommend a player who can provide those parts for you.
To make sure you’re satisfied, let’s make sure I’m the player you truly want on your project. Please listen to my session work demos at the “recording” page, and make sure you discuss your project with me ahead of time. I am not here to write the song for you - you must already have a complete or mostly complete idea of your composition. However, if you would like me to write a custom song for you, please inquire. I do that, too, but it works a little differently.
Though I can provide rough mixes of my part on your song (if adding my parts to an existing song), I am not a mixing or mastering engineer. You must find a proper audio engineer to complete your final mix and master. Trust me, they do it better than I do. If you need recommendations, I am happy to provide some. The individual audio tracks you receive from me are professional audio quality, and ready to mix and master.
Thanks - Emily M. Zimmer
